TOSAN AJI MUSEUM

             Tosan Aji museum is place I ever visit in Purworejo. First enter this museum , in the gate  be cared by two security . It was not far with the museum only 200 meters.   In the Tosan Aji Museum the air is quite fresh because a lots of trees .This museum is little bit small but clean . To enter this museum we are buy ticket  by one person is Rp.1000,- in the recepcionist. This museum is located in Purworejo district pendopo complex and occupies the former office of Kesbangol Purworejo .  It was inaugurated on 13 April 1987 by Central Java Provincial Governoer H. Ismail.  This museum is one means to preserve the cultural heritage of ancestors consisting of Kris, Sword ,Kudi , Curdik , and Spear.

            Tosan Aji museum was inaugurated on 13 April 1987 by Central Java Provincial Governoer H. Ismail , while the initiative of the estabiloishment by the Indonesia Minister Of Inferior Soepardjo Roestam. Initially the museum was in Kutoarjo pendopo Kewadanan Kutoarjo street  Diponegoro No.2 and moved to Purworejoon 10 June 2001. This time , Tosan Aji Museum is located in Purworejo district pendopo complex occupy the former office Purworejo Kesbangpol. In this museum not only store object of Tosan Aji collection but on the development of many object findings of stone  material that comes from  pre-historial and classical period. The collection are stored from the kingdom of Pajajaran and Majapahit , while the culture heritage objects from pre-history and classical period. In the museum there also ancient gamelan prize from Sri Susuhunan Pakubowono IV to regnt 1 ,Cokronegoro 1.

This picture I take , after buy the ticket .  This is a replica of the manufacture of weapons of ferrous metals . The name is  Besalen .

                 

              

Tosan Aji is defined as a weapon made of iron metal which has a respectable position in the eyes of the community especially in the past . Every 1 Muharam or 1 Syuro , this place is implemented Jamasan or  Pencucian Tosan Aji.

When my friend and I enter the room , we was saw in the main room there are Gamelan, Statue , and 2 rooms . The first room is Dapur Pamor Wirangka . There was  only small room where the Kris and the equipment of museum . The second room is Tangguh, in left right is statue  Keperajuritan Pemakaian Kris Anggar. In this room have a 7 rooms  and 4 map, including 3 rooms kris and sword, 3 rooms of statue , fossil wood inscription and stone collection , than one room in the middle is kris and transit .

The visitor in this museum a little bit , maybe I visit it   not a holiday time . But there is much I can learn in this museum that purworejohas a valuable historical treasure.
